Bmw/rolls royce/mini error 101f01
Exactly after running new learning for valvetronic car threw a f01 throttle valve angle. basically the throttle is not intelligent enough to adjust the angle according to the valvetronic angle and properly calculating the oxygen/gas mixture. I did the service bulletin from BMW for this issue.
Reigniting this thread because I just had my VVT and eccentric shaft replaced and the code F01 would not go away. Solution: my mechanic replaced the boost solenoid and so far so good!.
SYmptom: Cel permanently ON with F01 Faultcode along with rough idle. Car seems fine otherwise when running. Smoke test at intake pipe and charge pipe-No leak detected.
Solution: The adaptation procedure must also be performed first before replacing any parts or removing and parts to address this fault. 1. Disconnect the tank ventilation valve (purge valve) electrical connector. 2. Allow the engine to idle for 15 minutes. ?sie_path=/tsb/bulletins/htm_store/
Since I'm still getting the B01 code along with the F01, I'm going to try replacing the TMAP sensor next. May also try to clean the throttle body while I'm in there. Will report back in probably a week or two.
The vehicle arrived in April with the faults (F01, ). Found the vacuum reservoir leaking in the valve cover, and both VVT solenoid seals were leaking air. The customer brought the vehicle to another shop and had the valve cover replaced. The vehicle returned a few days ago.
After completing the job and doing the relearning, the vehicle had a CEL with code F01 - Air mass system, plausibility: calculated air volumes in air intake system implausible (not there previously).
It's a symptom code rather than the actual issue which is F01 and which relate to a problem with air getting to the cylinders. I clear the codes and take it for another drive, again engine is fully up to temperature.
